Bank Asia Limited is a scheduled commercial bank in the private sector established under the Banking Company Act 1991 and incorporated in Bangladesh as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1994 to carry out banking business in Bangladesh.

Mr. Erfanuddin Ahmed has been appointed as President & Managing Director of the Bank Asia for three years. Prior to taking over the new position Mr. Ahmed was in current charge (CC) of the Managing Director of the Bank from January 7, 2009.

Mr. Erfanuddin Ahmed, completed MBA with major in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka in 1974, has a very successful banking career of 32 years. He joined the Bank Asia in 1999 and assumed the post of Deputy Managing Director of the Bank on 01, 2006.

Before joining Bank Asia, Mr. Erfanuddin Ahmed also served Janata Bank and Dutch Bangla Bank in various significant capacities.

He is currently Vice President of Bangladesh MBA Association, and Ex-President of IBA Alumni Association. He is the founder Chairman of Hazi Shamsuddin Bhuiyan College, Narshingdi.
