  • What should I do if my card is lost or damaged?
    Inform our Bank Asia 24X7 Customer Care Centre at 16205 or 09617016205 immediately. They will block your lost/damaged card instantly upon verification against few questions.
  • What should I do to get a replaced card if card is lost/stolen/damaged?
    Need to go to the nearest branch from where you can get a requisition form in which you can request for card replacement by mentioning your credit card number and signature. Or, you may send card/pin replacement request email through your system enlisted email ID.
  • Can I retain my credit card if I emigrate?
    Credit cards (including dual currency cards) are issued to resident of Bangladesh only in local currency and under Travel Quota in foreign currency. Therefore you have to clear your outstanding and surrender your credit card to the bank if you are proceeding abroad on employment or on emigration.
  • How to activate my credit card?
    • Fill up and sign the ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ which sent to you while delivering your credit card. Your signature should match with your signature in the Credit Card Application Form.
    • Drop the ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ to your nearest Bank Asia branch or courier it to card department.
    • You can also send the scanned copy of the filled up ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ to ba.cards@bankasia-bd.com and contact.center@bankasia-bd.com
    • After receiving your card activation request, we will verify your signature. Card Department will call you in your system enlisted contact number before activating the card.
  • What do I do if my credit card is declined?
    Please call us at our 24-hours Customer Care Centre 16205 or 09617016205. You also receive SMS mentioning the reason while your credit card is declining.
  • How do I protect my credit card against fraud or theft?
      These tips are very important and universal:
    • Sign at the back of your card on signature panel as soon as you receive it!
    • When you use your card at an ATM, enter your PIN in such a way that no one can see/understand/memorize your keystrokes.
    • Don't leave your receipt behind at the ATM. Your PIN and account number from a discarded receipt could make you exposed to credit-card fraud. Also, don't throw out your credit-card statement, receipts or carbons without first shredding them!
    • Never give your credit-card number over the telephone unless you initiated the call to the right destination.
    • Always ignore any credit-card offer that requests you to spend money first or fails to disclose the identity of the card issuer.
    • Make certain you get your card back after you make a purchase and it is used always in front of you. (it is very good habit to keep your wallet open in your hand until you take the card back). Also, please make sure that you personally rip up any voided or cancelled charge slips.
    • Always keep a list of your credit cards, credit-card numbers and call center numbers handy, in case your card is stolen or lost.
    • Check your monthly statement to make sure that all charges are of your own, and notify the card issuer of any errors or unauthorized charges immediately.
  • How do I use my credit card?
    Upon receipt of the card unblock/activate the card with submission of acknowledgment slip then it is good to use in POS/ATM unless the card is expired and the repayment remains regular.
  • How do I update my Mobile number/Email address/House address/Office address?
    You may update your mobile number/e-mail ID through any of the following channels:
      By Branch/Cards Department:
    • You may go to your nearest Bank Asia branch or Cards Department and fill up the requisition form mentioning detail what you want to update or change.
    • Through e-mail:
    • You may send e-mail to ba.cards@bankasia-bd.com from your registered e-mail ID.
  • I Want to know why interest charges are imposed?
    Interest will be charged if the Total Amount Due is not paid by the payment due date. Interest will be charged on the Total Amount Due and on all new transactions till such time as the previous outstanding amounts are paid in full. Also, interest will be levied on all cash advances from the date of the transaction until the date of payment.
  • Is it possible to stop Credit Shield Premium?
    Yes, need to send request to stop credit shield premium from your registered email ID.
  • How to activate foreign part of my credit card?
    • You have to endorse your passport from your nearest Bank Asia AD Branch or card department. Maximum endorsement limit for an individual card holder is USD 5000 for SAARC countries and USD 7000 for NON SAARC countries in one calendar year.
    • If you wish to open your credit card foreign part only during your travel period, do let us know your travel plan (country, departure date and arrival date) through email or by branch.
  • In where I can use my credit card to do E-commerce transaction?
    • Application, Registration and Admission Fee payment for study in abroad. Examination Fee (TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, IELTS and other professional exams)
    • Membership Fee for foreign professional and scientific institutions and Conference fees.
    • Any domain registration/renewal/cloud solutions/facebook boosting/online training fees for programs or vendor certification exam etc. (USD 300 or its equivalent in a calendar year).
    • Online purchases (Yearly USD 1000 but single transaction limit maximum USD 300).
    • Visa processing fee and online hotel booking payment.
  • How can I request to do foreign e-commerce transaction with my credit card?

  • Is it needed to send request to do local e-commerce transaction?
    It depends, BDT 24,000, BDT 16,000 and BDT 8,000 respectively auto enabled in Platinum Card/Titanium Card , Gold Card and Classic Card for local e-commerce transactions. But if limit is used, then you need to send email request to increase local e-commerce amount in your credit card.
  • How can I get credit card cheque book?
    Need to send request for cheque book with your signature from any branch.
  • Is there any option to deduct my credit card payment always from my Bank Asia Account?
    Yes, you may send Auto debit request to us. Need to go to your nearest branch and fill up requisition form mentioning your Bank Asia account number and account sign also with credit card sign. Should be aware that, sufficient amount remains available on due date of your credit card.
  • How can I view my last 6 months credit card statement?
    You need to visit the website cards.bankasia-bd.com to view your credit card last 6 months statement. First of all, you need to send request through your registered email ID for online statement ID and password. After getting ID and Password, you can view your statement online after statement date.
