Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, FCA

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil is a committed banking professional with extensive experience in financial management, corporate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning in the banking sector. He joined Bank Asia PLC on 28 May 2012 as First Vice President in the Finance & Accounts Division and, through demonstrated performance and professionalism, was promoted to Senior Vice President, then to Senior Executive Vice President and subsequently elevated to Executive Vice President on 1 July 2024. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Bank.

In his present role, Mr. Khalil oversees financial strategy, budgetary planning, asset–liability management, cost control, and financial risk assessment while ensuring strict compliance with IFRS, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and Basel III regulatory requirements. He plays a key role in corporate financial governance, board reporting, capital planning, and guiding long-term business sustainability initiatives of the Bank. He also supervises statutory audits and financial reporting processes, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and ethical financial practices across the organization.

Prior to joining Bank Asia PLC, Mr. Khalil served at AB Bank Limited as Assistant Vice President in the Finance Division from 2008 to 2012. He began his professional career with ACNABIN (Chartered Accountants) in 2005, gaining foundational expertise in auditing, financial control systems, and corporate compliance.

Mr. Khalil holds a Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Commerce from the National University. His academic and professional journey reflects his dedication to continuous learning, integrity in financial leadership, and commitment to strengthening financial discipline in the banking industry.
