Mr. Syed Zulkar Nayen joined Bank Asia PLC. as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking on August 7, 2025. With over 24 years of distinguished experience in leading local and multinational banks, he has a proven track record of driving growth, fostering innovation, and delivering customer-centric transformation

Mr. Nayen began his career at HSBC Bangladesh in 2001 before moving to Eastern Bank PLC in 2007. At Eastern Bank, he advanced to the position of Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business in Retail and SME Banking. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in expanding distribution networks, enhancing retail business performance, and building inclusive financial ecosystems

He holds a postgraduate degree in Management and a professional certification from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. Mr. Nayen has completed numerous advanced training programs and participated in global industry forums

At Bank Asia, Mr. Nayen is responsible for leading the retail banking division, focusing on delivering innovative banking solutions and enhancing customer experiences across the bank's retail network.
