Mr. SM Anisuzzaman,

DMD, Research, Logistics and Project Implementation

Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Anisuzzaman is the Deputy Managing Director of Bank Asia PLC. overseeing Logistics, Project Initiatives & Research and Strategy Departments/Divisions. He joined the bank on October 21, 2015, as an Executive Vice President and later served as the Senior Executive Vice President from January 1, 2022. He has also served as the Company Secretary and Head of Research & Strategy for quite some time.

Mr. Anisuzzaman started his professional career in IFIC Bank Limited in 1996 as a Probationary Officer. He later worked at Prime Bank Limited and BRAC Bank Limited, gaining diverse banking experience. Since joining Bank Asia, he has led the Research & Strategy Division and, starting from July 1, 2018, also served as the Company Secretary.

He played a significant role in heading the Group Treasury Division, where his leadership, strategic thinking, and sound decision-making led to remarkable growth in business and profits. His strong guidance helped the Treasury Division navigate through challenging economic conditions, contributing substantially to the bank’s profitability.

Mr. Anisuzzaman holds a graduate degree in Economics from Jahangirnagar University, an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Known for his dynamic leadership, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to the Bank’s success, Mr. Anisuzzaman continues to play a key role in the ongoing growth and strategic direction of Bank Asia.
