Mr. Hossain Ahmad

Chief Information Officer

Mr. Hossain Ahmad is the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Bank Asia, where he has been instrumental in leading the Bank's information technology strategy since joining on November 29, 2018. He was promoted to the position of Senior Executive Vice President in July 2022, further solidifying his leadership in driving technological innovation and digital transformation across the bank.

Mr. Ahmad began his career in September 1997 as a Support Engineer at Desktop Computer Connection Ltd., where he gained foundational experience in systems and networks. He later transitioned to the banking sector, where he spent a significant part of his career at Pubali Bank Ltd., serving in various roles within the IT Division from 1999 to 2013, eventually rising to Deputy General Manager.

Before joining Bank Asia, Mr. Ahmad served as the Executive Vice President and Head of the IT Division at Standard Bank Ltd. from 2013 to 2018, where he led several key technological advancements.

He holds an MBA in Banking from the University of Dhaka and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). Mr. Ahmad's strong technical background and strategic vision have made him a driving force in the Bank's technological evolution, playing a key role in shaping its IT infrastructure, systems, and digital services.
