What is SMS?
Short Message Service (SMS) is a communications protocol allowing the interchange of short text messages between mobile telephone devices. SMS text messaging is the most widely used data application. SMS as used on modern handsets was originally defined as part of the GSM series as a means of sending messages of up to 160 characters (including spaces), to and from GSM, CDMA networks and Digital AMPS, as well as satellite and landline networks. Most SMS messages are mobile-to-mobile text messages, though the standard supports other types of broadcast messaging as well.

SMS service Number
A) 6969 service with any mobile operator (BA prefix required).
B) 2929 service with Aktel mobile operator.
A) SMS syntaxes (For 6969 service)
I) Account balance query:
ACC {PIN Code} {Source A/C} [Optional e-mail] [Optional starting tran. date] [Optional ending trans. date]
II) Fund transfer:
FTR {PIN Code} {Source A/C} {Amount} {Destination A/C}
III) PIN Code change:
PIN {PIN Code} {New PIN Code}
IV) Mobile number change:
CNG {PIN Code} {New Mobile Number}
Followed by BA in your mobile message option and send it 6969.

Example: Go to your mobile message option. Type BA press space then type ACC again space then type your PIN code, one more space then type your A/Cs last four or more digit finally send it 6969. Similarly type for others option i.e. FTR, PIN, CNG etc. If you forget any syntax, type only the keyword followed by BA (i.e. BA ACC, BA FTR, BA PIN, BA CNG etc.) and send it 6969. You will get the valid syntax.

Note: Please keep in mind that BA prefix should be used for 6969 SMS service, until or unless mentioned any other syntax. For account balance query optionally you can type any email address followed by starting and ending transaction date. Your A/C.s statement will send to that email address.
